Walkway Over the Hudson

Walkway Over the Hudson opened on October 3, 2009, with a grand event including thousands of people and fireworks. It was timed to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson exploring the Hudson River in 1609 while in search of a passage to Asia. Contained below are 112 images of the fireworks display (taken with a hand held camera) held the night prior to the opening ceremonies. The opening  contains 251 images, which include a parade presenting the various townships of the area. Click in either image to view the individual gallery.
